Purple Mash - Computing Curriculum

Are You Looking for a New Computing Curriculum for September? If so, I highly recommend Purple Mash from 2Simple. I have been a Purple Mash user for almost 15 years, and it has consistently been my top choice for a Computing scheme, both in the schools where I have worked and during consultancy sessions across the UK. 2Simple excels at making things straightforward for teachers, which is essential in a subject where staff often lack confidence and expertise. Their Computing scheme of work exemplifies this. The curriculum is clearly divided into different strands of Computing, with each unit offering easy-to-follow lesson plans and clear PowerPoint presentations. Each unit includes Knowledge Organisers and Learning Mats to ensure that both pupils and staff are familiar with key concepts, skills, and vocabulary. The Prior & Future Learning Links make the sequencing of units clear and logical. Additionally, summative assessment quizzes provide a way to assess pupils' understanding for each unit, and the walk-through videos are invaluable for teachers, especially for some of the more challenging coding units for Key Stage 2. One of the standout features for me is the ability to assign tasks as a ‘2Do’, allowing pupils to access and submit work easily. What is also key with Purple Mash is that staff only need to learn how to use one piece of software, rather than multiple third-party applications, which is a significant advantage over other Computing schemes. If you would like a demo of Purple Mash, please send me a direct message or email at martinbailey@animate2educate.co.uk. I would be delighted to show you why Purple Mash is my number one choice for a Computing scheme of work!
