One Week to Go - EduFootyAid 2024

I’m honoured to be captaining Team England as EduFootyAid goes international for the very first time! Next Saturday, educators from across England and I will be flying to Belfast to take on Team Northern Ireland in this annual charity football match—and we need your support! EduFootyAid began in 2018 when Leeroy Parkinson (ICT with Mr P - Tech to Raise Standards) and I came up with the idea to promote teacher wellbeing and raise essential funds for mental health charities through a Soccer Aid style game for those in education. Inspired by the success of 2Simple’s Striker Boy campaign, which was created in memory of the late Jonny Zucker, we pitched the idea to them. 2Simple took the event under their banner and have been incredible supporters ever since—backing, promoting, and helping us grow EduFootyAid into what it is today. This year, we’re excited to partner with Texthelp, whose generous support has allowed us to take EduFootyAid international for the first time. Their sponsorship, along with 2Simple’s ongoing dedication, has made it possible for us to expand our reach and raise even more for mental health causes. Over the past six years, hundreds of educators have participated in our matches, and we’ve raised thousands of pounds for mental health charities. This year, Team England will be raising funds for Beyond, an incredible charity providing vital mental health support to children and young people, while Team Northern Ireland will be supporting T.A.M.H.I., a fantastic mental health charity based in Northern Ireland. As many of you know, mental health is a cause very close to my heart. I would be so grateful if you could consider sponsoring me and supporting these two amazing charities. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps make a real difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Thank you so much to 2Simple and Texthelp for their unwavering support, and thank you to everyone who’s considering donating. Together, we can make a powerful impact. #EduFootyAid
