Y6 Coding Workshop

Loved working with Year 6 pupils at Falla Park Community Primary School (Gateshead). Pupils developed their knowledge and understanding of ‘Coding’ concepts and skills such as procedures, loops, repetition, abstraction and decomposition through use of apps such as Lightbot and SpriteBox and though practical unplugged activities such as ‘Underground Algorithms’ where they used the London Underground map to investigate where algorithms and computational thinking are used in everyday life. Been an absolute pleasure working with the wonderful children from Falla Park this week. Looking forward to final ‘Coding Workshops’ with Year 1 and Reception pupils on Monday.
