'Holes' by Louis Sachar (Y6 Dordon Primary)

Fab morning bringing the curriculum to life with Year 6 pupils at Dordon Primary School (Tamworth) today. The session related to their current class novel of 'Holes' by author Louis Sachar. Started by using 'Comic Touch' to create own book covers. Next used 'Popplet' app to mindmap knowledge and understanding about characters and themes from the story. 'Tellagami' app was used to focus on the desert setting of the book. 'Comic Life 3G' app was used to create non-chronological reports about the story and then did a bit of App Smashing using 'ColorSplash' and 'Typorama' apps to focus on the yellow spotted lizard from the story. Finally used 'Morfo Booth' app to look at author Louis Sachar and his inspiration for writing 'Holes'.
