Real privilege to have the opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation of teachers. Full day today working with my Durham University PGCE students on the delivery of ‘Primary Computing’. Current regulations meant that we were spread all over the globe, but via Microsoft Teams we were still able to effectively deliver the session. There is no substitution for face-to-face to training, but 5-10 years ago the delivery of courses in this way would not have been possible and trainees would have been forced to miss out this year. We must therefore be thankful that the pandemic has happened at at time when we are technologically advanced enough for remote learning to be possible.
